In the past I have contributed money to the Red Cross, but upon hearing that you have done nothing to free the captured Israeli solider Gilad Shalit from captivity in the Gaza Strip. Contrary to all international law Gilad is being held in captivity by Hamas and prevented from communicating with his family.
Your organization has given countless millions to the Palestinians; accordingly you have the ability to leverage them to comply with international law and basic decency. So, until there is a change in policy from your organization, I will actively encourage all of my friends and family to NOT contribute to the Red Cross.
