Olympics 2016 II

Chicago did not get

Olympics, despite Obama's personal involvement. Yet another example of Obama not able to deliver. I was talking with someone the other day about all the promises Obama made during the campaign and how little success he has had thus far. My friend said, "its a hard job... he took over a bad situation...etc"

But y'know what? I didn't tell Obama to run for office. He ran because he wanted the job. I didn't tell Obama to make all those campaign promises, he made those promises because he wanted the job. Now that he has the job and is failing in all his promises his supporters talk about what a tough situation he is in.

Bunk!

Another politician who says whatever they have to in order to get power. Why am I not surprised?

If he doesn't start racking up some wins Obama may be a one term president. The one thing he really has in his favor is that his opposition are the Republicans who have become the gang that couldn't shoot straight.

Good points. My hope is that the republicans were chastized by their defeats. To utilize tough free market rhetoric, while simultaneously allowing for a massive growth in government alienates the left and the right alike. To speak tough on immigration, but do very little in the are of enforcement, simultaneously alienates many Latino voters and conservatives.

I expected Chicago to lose (though I would have liked Chicago to win). I thought they would come in second place, losing only to Rio. I was surprised Chicago came in dead last.

You should have seen this weeks Saturday Night Live - the opening skit. It is eerily similar to your post. If you have not yet seen it, check it out on the SNL website
